Blepharitis
Blepharitis is inflammation of the eyelids. It's a common cause of sore, red eyelids and crusty eyelashes.
Blepharitis commonly occurs when the tiny oil glands of the inner eyelid become inflamed. It often occurs along with other skin conditions or allergies.
Symptoms include red, itchy eyelids that may look greasy and crusted. Dry eyes also are a symptom.
Black eye
black eye is the appearance of bruising around the eyes. It's usually the result of trauma to the head or face, which causes bleeding beneath the skin. When the small blood vessels, or capillaries, beneath the skin break, blood leaks into the surrounding tissue. This is what causes the discoloration or bruising.
Bite (animal or human)
Bites can happen when you are playing with a pet or trying to feed a wild animal. They may also happen even if you have not approached the animal. Human bites happen more often than most people realize. Human bites are often more dangerous than animal bites because the human mouth has more bacteria in it than most animals' mouths. It is very easy for a human bite to become infected. However, any bite that breaks the skin can become infected and should be treated by your healthcare provider.
Birthmarks
birthmark is a congenital, benign irregularity on the skin which is present at birth or appears shortly after birth—usually in the first month. They can occur anywhere on the skin. Birthmarks are caused by overgrowth of blood vessels, melanocytes, smooth muscle, fat, fibroblasts, or keratinocytes. Examples include Mongolian spots, benign vascular malformations, haemangiomas or benign nevi.
Bird flu
This type of flu is most often contracted by contact with sick birds. It can also be passed from person to person.
Symptoms begin within two to eight days and can seem like the common flu. Cough, fever, sore throat, muscle aches, headache and shortness of breath may occur.
The disease can carry a high mortality in humans. Some antiviral drugs, if taken within two days of symptoms, may help.
Biopsy
A biopsy is a medical test commonly performed by a surgeon, interventional radiologist, or an interventional cardiologist. The process involves extraction of sample cells or tissues for examination to determine the presence or extent of a disease.
