Early or delayed puberty
Early puberty, also known as precocious puberty, occurs when puberty begins before the age of 8 in girls or before the age of 9 in boys. This premature onset of puberty can lead to physical and emotional challenges for affected individuals. Delayed puberty occurs when puberty is delayed beyond the typical age range, with absence of pubertal development by the age of 13 in girls or the age of 14 in boys. This condition may result from various underlying factors and requires evaluation and intervention to support normal development.
