Lymphoedema
Lymphedema refers to tissue swelling caused by an accumulation of protein-rich fluid that's usually drained through the body's lymphatic system. It most commonly affects the arms or legs, but can also occur in the chest wall, abdomen, neck and genitals.
Lumps
Lumps can appear anywhere on the body and can vary in size, shape, and texture. While many lumps are benign and harmless, others may indicate serious medical conditions requiring prompt attention.
Low white blood cell count
A low white blood cell count, medically known as leukopenia, can compromise the body's ability to fight infections. This condition requires careful attention and management to maintain overall health. What's low in white blood cell count varies from one lab to another. This is because each lab sets its own reference range based on the people it serves. In general, for adults, a count lower than 3,500 white blood cells per microliter of blood is considered low. For children, an expected count depends on the age.
